My original Trail Rite trailer has suffered more road damage than my M-15 on it, have towed it to Lake Couer D'Alene and Lake Pend Orielle in N. Idaho as well as over the Washington Cascades and Oregon Cascades back and forth to Coos Bay, Oregon and most recently to South Puget Sound, with road nicks in the trailer but not on the boat. Probably have done more damage to the trailer from salt water launches, should have repainted those road nicks before putting it in salt water, but I learn from experience. Have learned to always zirk the wheel bearings going in and out of salt water, Steve M-15 335 (1985) -----Original Message----- From: Dale Nummi via montgomery_boats Sent: Friday, November 3, 2017 11:26 AM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: Road rash? Dave Scobie, Just curious: With all of the thousands of miles you drive towing a boat, have you had any problems with stone chips and dings on the boats? Have you done anything to prevent this or has it not been a problem?
