Michael, We keep our Flicka on Kentucky Lake and have sailed there fairly regularly since '01. You haven't said where you were planning to go, but in my experience the current in Kentucky lake anywhere between the highway 68 bridge (Kenlake Marina/state park) and Kentucky Dam (Lighthouse Landing Marina) isn't enough to worry about for trip planning purposes. Below Kenlake for at least a few miles the current is noticeable but still not enough to be a problem. Rik Sandberg On Thu, Sep 1, 2011 at 9:33 AM, Michael Murphy <mikeandpaula48@gmail.com>wrote:
I've been trying to find the speed of the current on Kentucky Lake. The Corps site only lists it by CF/Sec, or as "average", "high", or "low". For cruise planing it would be helpful to be able to convert these to knots. Mike, M-15 Fionnula
