Bones, I know about the shallow water alright - touched bottom a couple of times when I was down there on my big trip. That's why I'm planning to cruise on the outside -the Hawk Channel) and STILL be very careful. And I do associate sailing with warmth, hence the early May dates. It would be great if you could get away and join us! In any case, stay warm and over-winter well. John
