M_Boats: Outboard Motor shaft

Okay, I'm not much on motor's, and have never had any experience with outboards so, help me out with this question. When I purchase my outboard, do I need to get a standard shaft or the longer shaft for my M15? I'm looking to get the Honda 2 HP motor. Appreciate all your help! ===== Time for a cool change!
