Sneakers needs a home.
Hey guys. There are a lot of things going on here a the Mulligan house and some changes of direction and priority and attitude changes for me as well. I also need to lessen the number of un-finished projects I have around here. Some of them are so close to being finished it isn’t funny….Sneakers being on of them. However….every project takes cash and time, two things that always seem to be in short supply.
The good news is that the major work on Sneakers is complete. The glasswork , keel, and centerboard are good to go and they were huge projects. She is in need of a paint job still….I have the paint. She has a new rudder, and useable sails. The trailer is ugly but serviceable.
The bottom is barrier coated and complete.
So here’s the deal….Starting today…Sneakers is for sale for $5000.00. The price will drop by $100/day until she finds a new owner. I hate to do this…but I need her to go. Eventually we will hit a price point where someone will scarf her up and finish up making a great boat out of her. I will also include the 6hp Johnson motor that I got when I bought her. It has been gone through cosmetically and mechanically and you can see it run at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSN_kG59GT4
Pictures of the restoration process of Sneakers are available here.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sailhavasu/sets/72157633158969944/
If you are interested email me at _sailhavasu@aol.com_ (mailto:sailhavasu@aol.com) I will discuss with you in detail everything I know about and have done to Sneakers,
Depending on the sales price…..I would consider discussions on assisting with delivery anywhere in the US…..IF you are willing to pay all the expenses. I have an F-350 dually that is thirsty and gets about 8mpg with my camper and a boat onboard….so it’s not really all that cheap….but probably cheaper than commercially shipping or taking the time off from work yourself and paying all the costs associated.
