don't ride on a 'knot' that sits on the hole in the top of the centerboard trunk. the weight needs to be 'held' by the winch.
if you happen to hit something with the centerboard, and the board is resting on the stop pin, the board will rotate out of the way and then CRASH down onto the stop pin ... not good.
