Subject: M_Boats: songs of the
forestay
Just returned from several days of sailing on Trinity Lake. The
northerly afternoon winds
made for some exciting experiences. When close hauled It seemed
everytime the windmeter indicated winds above 19 knots the forestay
would sound a high pitched tune.
Is this to be expected or is the forestay tension too tight?
