Hi Daniel and thanks for the reply! As it turns out, I'm quite familiar with your you tube videos. I have enjoyed them in my research about Montgomery boats. When I posted my inquiry, I thought to myself, "I wonder if that guy from Sonoma with that beautiful boat Kestrel will reply". I spend a lot of time in Pt. Reyes and have always wanted to sail on Tomales Bay. If you're game, then let me have a chat with my friend Michael this week and see when he's free. Perhaps we can treat you to lunch. Thanks again and I'll be in touch. I'm a San Francisco Sailor and a friend and I are interested in purchasing an M-15 or M-17. Before we do, we thought we'd see if it might be possible to take a ride on one of these boats and get to know it a bit. I've reached out to the Bay Area WWPotter list as well in case anyone there has a tip. We'd be happy to pay for an afternoon sail if that makes a difference. If you, or anyone you know might be willing/able to spend a couple of hours with a couple of nice gentlemen and show them your boat and talk shop, we'd be very much obliged.
Thanks, Thom Loftus
