Natoma would probably be best; no waves and probably as much wind as Folsom. Lake Wash would be fine and usually has a little more wind. You might have to join the Lake Washington YC in order to launch, but it doesn't cost much and from what I've seen a nice bunch. I'd try them both. Living at Davis, Beryessa wouldn't be too far, but I've never sailed there. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: <ayakomoore@aol.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2012 7:52 AM Subject: M_Boats: Small Boat Sailing in Sacramento Area Hello Everyone, I saw some postings from folks in the Sacramento area a while back about sailing at Lake Folsom. I live in Davis and want to sail my 10 foot Montgomery and am wondering about my nearby options, including Lake Berryessa, Lake Folsom and Lake Natoma, Lake Washington, etc. Any suggestions on pluses and minuses would be greatly appreciated. Yes, I plan on sailing this Spring and Summer. Old 189 will be out there......pray for wind...Larry -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of ndorf@surfbest.net Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2012 6:25 PM To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Subject: M_Boats: Folsom Lake Larry, will I be spotting old 189 out on Folsom Lake this year? Hope so.... Already got Bruce King from Fair Oaks to come out and sail with his M15 last summer... A fleet of three M15s in our backyard reservoir would be very cool. Better still, Karsten, if you're lurking out there...your boat would make four! Goshawk would bring it up to 5... Hmmmm maybe we can have our own "Wrinkle Boat Ran Tan" (sorry GO your gig would always still the "original" :-) OMG now all we need is alot more water in the lake... -Neil -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
