Robbin, Jerry, Bob, I had my swing keel serviced by Hooper's in Afton, Mn. I had a slow leak into the bilge of my M23, caused by either the pivot or stop pin, we never determined which. David, their Kiwi fiberglass guru, constructed a "sleeve" of epoxy and graphite using the pins as a reference. He glassed them into the hull and reused the pins. Thus, the pins have a bearing surface, not the fiberglass hull, that they reside into. David stated you could fire a .45 into the sleeve and not hurt them....(Hmmm). End result, no leaks.
