one lucky potter owner. VERY smart in wearing that life vest! another example of the importance of a safety device. i've always been more worried about the dangers of a knockdown when sailing off the wind. there is no easy way to release the sails and de-power the boat. going to weather is much easier, IMO, as you can luff into the wind and/or release a sheet. dave scobie M17 #375 - SWEET PEA visit SWEET PEA's www-site - http://www.m17-375.webs.com --- On Thu, 5/20/10, htmills@zoominternet.net <htmills@zoominternet.net> wrote: Speaking of capsizes... http://bbs.trailersailor.com/forums/potter/index.cgi/noframes/read/88847 Tod Mills M17 #408, 1987 galley model BuscaBrisas
