Really cool to see this discussion on here! I have long been wanting to custom scale a woodenwidget design to stow inside of an M15, but haven't done it yet. Seems like a really great project. Recently I have taken up paddle boarding, and am considering using an inflatable SUP as a dinghy for my M15 for a while. I have been able to transport myself plus a passenger in calm conditions. You're ahead of me on a somewhat similar project, I'm going to build an Origami: https://www.woodenwidget.com/origami.htm ...the shorter 6 ft. version, though I might add a little length to it, half a foot or so. Have all the wood, and the plans, need to get the fabric, and, project is stalled out due to other priorities for a while. Speaking of boats...pulling M17 "Pajarita" out of Siltcoos lake tomorrow for the winter, had a pretty good bunch of sailing later summer and fall! cheers, John On 11/2/22 18:47, Lawrence Winiarski via montgomery_boats wrote:
I've been working on this project for awhile and I thought I'd showoff with a few pictures. Basically it is a folding dinghy that folds down to 46" long and about 8" thick that fits across the transom of the M15. Takes about 5 minutes to assemble and faster to take down, but I'm working to try and improve that.
It's still a work in progress, but I've taken it out a few times.
