M_Boats: M15 bottom cleaning

I'm starting to bring old no. 484 (1984) back to life. Before considering a professional bottom cleaning for barnacle residue, thought I would try "Star Brite". Has anyone had experience with any bottom products and possiblibly have a recommendation? The residual was from a San Francisco bay docking or mooring. Bruce King Fair Oaks,CA M15 484
