Because I'm immersed in a project that involves hoisting the 15 over, not water but concrete, I'm wondering what the reference to "chain plates" means. I know chain plates to be long, steel, through bolted attachments to the hull, supporting the hard rigging (shroud plates). I'm not familiar with such things on a 15. I would have been very grateful to know that I could lift a 15 by the bow and stern cleats and the standing rigging plates. If this is true, I can still profit from the advice, so please let us know, if you know from experience. I'm doing extensive gelcoat repairs and will be applying a barrier coat soon, and I'd love to have the hull "open" for that. Grateful thanks for any input. ************** Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008. (http://citysbest.aol.com?ncid=aolacg00050000000102)
