M_Boats: Depth Sounder

I picked a Uniden QT 206 depth sounder at a boat store closing sale. Has anyone ever installed one on a M17 and if so how did it do. I'm not going to put in the thru hull (read drill a hole in my boat) rather I will use the kit whereby the unit reads thru the hull. Thanks, Joe SeaFrog M17
