Hi Roger, I too, purchased a 77 M17 this past August. I used the bimini left over from my MacGregor 26S and it was almost a prefect fit. Pictures can be seen on the MSOG Photosite or my personal web pages http://members.cox.net/slsail/ . Mine was custom made by a local boat canvas maker but he used standard shapes and sizes. However, costs were comparable to discount store prices. I added side and rear sun screen panels for additional shade at anchor. (Arizona sun is a killer!) Hope this helps. I plan to be on the boat over the Christmas break, so I can get additional measurements if necessary. Realize this is winter, but since this is in Texas, want to install a good Bimini top sometime soon. Have seen several photos of Montgomery 17's equipped with bimini tops so am looking to purchase a navy/blue one that can be ordered and fitted from an existing manufacturer or vendor - without having to have a custom one made if possible. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks Roger Freedman rogerfreedman@hotmail.com _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
