Theo, I have a very good friend who is a fabricator, I am lucky as I am frequently the beneficiary of his generosity ie. 'drops' (leftover pieces of material.) When I purchase raw material from suppliers I am in awe - prices have gone thru the ceiling! Check the prices for raw material (copper is at a historic high) and then figure in cost of the machinists time for labor to cut to length or turn to proper diameter, cost of consumables (cutting tools etc), probably a good deal at $40. They don't generally sell Montgomery centerboard pins at Malwart. Or East marine. If East marine sold them they would be $95.
