I was pretty well convinced that I had made a mistake using this setup. Hi Bill, Myself, I think the Honda 2 is a great little motor. There are others with M-17 who push along with electrics, and during the Wooden Boat show, I was amazed to see how many "heavy" craft use both the electrics and Honda 2hp. Most of sailors saying they like to remove the motor after getting out of the harbor. Some that dont even have a real motor mount, only something that attaches and easily removes, so as not to ruin the aesthetics of their fine craft. I already have a MinnKota Electric which I'll use on my new 15, unless I'm in heavy current or on a cruise. Worst case... The 2hp would make a fine motor on a towed dinghy. So, here's another thumbs up for the Honda 2hp (but not on a 17 in SF Bay on a heavy outgoing tide) Bill www.msog.funtigo.com
