Bones, Perhaps your 17 is constructed a little differently, but with Busca's, I just get on my knees on the cabin sole facing aft and reach around/stick my head down behind the c/b pendant tube and there it is in all its glory. While I don't keep my anchor chain down there, I have found a bottle or two of wine there in the course of a cruise. :o) Tod (who does NOT keep tongue wrapped in newspaper in his bilge) -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces+htmills=bright.net@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces+htmills=bright.net@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of bownez@juno.com Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2003 11:04 PM To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: M_Boats: The black hole... HI Bill, Say, are you sailing a M15 or an M17? I have never tried to inspect the aft keel (bilge) area on my M17, but I plan to now. Can anyone offer any insight on the best way to do this?
