You will certainly be welcome at our fall regatta. Dock space is readily available. Most get hotel rooms, priced from low to high. I assume Paul Bear is going. He will probably respond to you also. You can call me directly, I can answer the more complicated questions. 520-991-7650 Anytime. Bill Ahrens W. A. Ahrens & Associates

I've been following the Monty discussions for two years, when I started looking for a Monty. I couldn't find a good Monty and wound up finding a Precision 18, somewhat similar to a Monty 17 but made in Florida and not too common in the West.
My wife and I are interested to know if we would be welcome at the San Carlos Regatta and cruising the Sea of Cortez in the San Carlos vicinity. We are day sailors and racers and don't have much cruising experience.
Do you plan to base camp in San Carlos at lodging spots or live aboard? Are overnight cruises planned? Is dock space available for a week or so? Anything else we should know about this adventure?
We have heard the Sea of Cortez is good sailing and are intrigued but need to know if we would be welcome and just what to expect.
Thanks, Dennis Olmstead Portland, OR

A group of Monty sailors will be headed down Mexico way for the San Carlos Regatta. Following the regatta we will be cruising on the Sea of Cortez for a week or two. We plan on meeting up in Tucson, Arizona at the end of October and to caravan down to San Carlos. Anyone interested in joining us would be most welcome.
