Hello out there, I could use some advice on sails. An interesting jib came with my 2004 M17; it measures some 60 square feet with a very high clew and a set of reef points that knock off another 5 square feet. Elliott/Pattison (that made the sail) apparently considers this its utility heavy weather sail, but I have found a real storm jib quite useful on other boats, and I am considering their 23 square foot "model". Have any of you needed such a small jib for snarling lake winds, perhaps in conjunction with a double-reefed main? (Speaking of mains, I have only one reef point; should I consider a second or even a third?) Any comments (besides "what an idiot") will be greatly appreciated. Tom Jenkins M17 Scintilla
