First of all, thanks Doug for administering such a helpful resource for so long! I imagine you had many head-scratching moments with which to contend. I have no experience hosting listservs but do have some background in technology, mostly in the previous century. I am retired and willing to help find a hosting solution for MSOG. The folks at Gaggle (not Google) may be of help. Their “Personal” plan appears to be robust enough for our purposes, as it allows searchable archives with no time limit, at 10 cents/user/month, a nominal amount I think most folks would be willing to contribute to keep this boat afloat. They can also convert archives from other sites to their platform. I do not know the cost of that conversion but would be willing to contact Gaggle re: that. I would probably need to know details about the current MSOG platform (file type, number and size of files, number of users, etc.) to run an inquiry by Gaggle.
