Touch up paint?

Hi: The bottom of my M15 is in great shape except where the previous owner scraped a small portion of the keel; I guess from beaching the boat. Hi all, "Pajarita" is in the lake, at the funky little Westlake resort marina in Dunes City, Oregon. Did a brief shakedown sail yesterday but it was already into some very blustery afternoon wind so didn't stay out long (plus was way past lunchtime... :-). I am in touch with Mark D. off-list, and, I think there was someone else who responded but if so, apologies but I can't find your email! Anyhow I am here until late August with "Pajarita" in Siltcoos lake and open to connecting with other sailors, your boat or a ride on mine, if you're nearby or passing thru. With Stan's guidance I used VC Performance Epoxy on the bottom of my Montgomery 15 a few years ago. It has performed really well and would recommend it. It is bright white. Prayer request

I, Eldor Eisen and my wife Dorothy owned a Montgomery 17 for about 15 years. We did the San Juan Islsnd cruise with Larry Yake 3 times, did the Potter Yachter Challenge once and did Lake Havasu several times.Reason for this email.Dorothy now has Frontotemporal Dementia, serious balance problems and various other health issues.Now the bad part, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in mid May and had my first chemo treatment a week ago. The goal is to keep it from spreading. I didn’t have any of the adverse reactions I was told to expect and still feel great but I am sure that will change as time goes by. Has been kept in the water at Lake Don Pedro for the past three months without bottom paint. Have been cleaning the underwater portion of the boat by applying a sponge over the surface with surprisingly good results every couple weeks. A fifteen foot boat with such a shallow depth can be cleaned in fifteen minutes. If you can hold your breath for 20 seconds in warm water, it's a fun project. Rich Cottrell
