Sacramento's Camillia Cup Regatta

Registration is now open for the Camillia Cup Regatta, https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_registration_form.php?regatt… which is here at Lake Folsom, just E of Sacramento. The race is April 16 and 17. There are a number of M-15’s and 17’s in this area, and an M-15 is usually entered in the race. Be great to get a good turnout. The centerboard cruising boats are run under Portsmouth, I believe. I’ll be there in the prototype Sage 15 catboat.

Mast drilling....

So I'm running mast wires. ..there's an exit hole that's about 1/4 inch down near the bottom of the mast. It would be helpful if it was bigger but I don't want a portable folding mast. Can I enlarge it safely? And how much? Jazz

Jazz, Best for the boat and your shins would be to remove it and replace with correct cleat (fasteners are undersized at current install) potential for SERIOUS deck damage if heavily loaded. Anchor deck hardware..

Hi all, I was wondering if ypu could enlighten me on these parts. I believe the small round piece is to pass anchor line through from beneath. The large piece is obviously anchor related, but it's interesting shape leads me to believe it's more than just a giant anchor cleat. What's it called? What does it do? Thanks! Jazz

I believe that is an older Solarex 20w panel - I have used them for years - (current one is ready to retire and is to be replaced by NOS 10w). I sold many with good results when I was in the boat bus. - if you can - mount it on stand-offs to allow air circulation beneath the panel to help cool it and keep the face clean.
