If anyone can assist with putting the video onto DVD I would be extremely grateful! Mike

I have two friends with Mac computers that have video editing software and DVD burners. I don't know what format the original digital video is in and if it's convertible to a format that can be burned to a dvd and played on stand alone players but if it is I'd be happy to try and get it done. Of course this would involve the cooperation of Senz in allowing me to have a copy of the raw video data and if it's Mac compatible. Of course after seeing the video I'm sure Senz has the knowledge and ability to do this all himself! Anyhow, I thought I'd offer to help in case there is a possibility of getting this onto dvd as that was my first thought as well upon seeing the video. Cheers! Alec

The format I use is Digital8. It's not a widely used format (yet, anyway). On my computer, it is a simple avi file using the DV codec. BUT... it's almost 30 GB!! I personally dread the thought of trying to create a SVCD out of it. It would look worse than the VHS tapes I mailed out! Unless I broke each scene down and custom compressed each one. (nooo thanks!!) DVD-R.... the format wars continue! We might produce some DVD's of questionable quality and it may not even play in your player. That's no exaggerating either! I am looking into the possibilities but from where I sit, a DVD is a bit in the future still. Why not get the VHS tape and talk a friend into letting you borrow his vcr? Or maybe watch it at his place and possibly convert him into a Hats fan while your at it! :-) Senz ______________________________________________________________________ Post your ad for free now! http://personals.yahoo.ca
I think it's funny that some people don't own vcrs but then again I have a turntable in my entertainment center. You should get the tape though at least to have in your collection. What about the possibility of a multi disc svcd, divx or dvdr? Peace. Alec Senz <senz317@yahoo.ca> wrote: --- M.J.Innes@open.ac.uk wrote:
