Yeah, I went and looked at the archive, and it looks like it hasn't had any traffic since last November or so. I just acquired the BBC Rock Hour #442 record, Men Without Hats backed with Flock of Seagulls. I'm going to convert it to some useful digital format this evening... Josh -- J. hmmm... wouldn't mind a copy of the AFOS set. i recorded a load of the BBC 'In Concerts' all those years ago and since i recently bought a new tape deck i should go back & see which ones are vaguely rare. very early DM, talk talk, blancmange etc... ah... memories. though this week i did pick up a Yazoo live cd... total cr*p job by whoever converted it to CD. currently fighting for a paypal rebate!

Aw, man. That sounds like loads of fun. If the AFOS set isn't around, I will do something like put it on my blog. (I am such a hipster. "It's on my blog.") Josh -- J. Brandt / me@solipsism.net / mute@sidehack.gweep.net / AIM: solipsismnet

Hey, I second that. AFOS is my favorite band of the 80s. Keep us in the loop. I'm willing to pay for materials, shipping, whatever. Don http://www.noceanstudios.com

Here's the setlist: Side B - Flock of Seagulls Intro 1. DNA (2:46) 2. Messages (3:40) 3. Nightmares (4:50) break for commercial 4. Over the Border (5:28) 5. What Am I Supposed to Do (4:10) 6. Wishing (I Had a Photograph) (3:30) Phil Harvey Out... I have access to loads of bandwidth, so it's very easy for me to make the available online in either some kind of lossless audio compression (flac or something) or mp3 if you don't want to wait that long to download them and so on... I'd rather not have to postal-mail anything, since I am very very lazy and that would entail going just enough out of my way that I wouldn't bother. 8) Josh -- J. maybe i shouldn't post this, but here is a list of my live cassette tapes... talk talk (3) depeche mode the higsons silent running (2) kajagoogoo (!) tears for fears (2) flock of seagulls (space age love song, DNA, wishing, i ran, the traveller, telecommunication, nightmares, transfer affection, what am i supposed to do) recognitions omd (late '84) plus dat from milton keynes simple minds - dat from milton keynes new order thomas dolby ('84) erasure nena gary numan (loads!) dramatis kissing the pink (awesome!) wang chung nik kershaw i also have a load of howard jones somewhere too (not under the bed - i'm worried!) plus various snippets from people like yazoo around the very early days - sessions on radio 1 etc. now, all i need is the time to transfer 'em! }x-o
I have 2 Yazoo Live shows on CD and would be willing to trade for them. One is my own conversion and the other I got in trade. If you are interested please email me privately. I have the MWH BBC rock hour on vinyl but wouldn't mind having the AFOS side in digital form so if someone goes through the trouble I'd like to download it or trade for it. Cheers!
