I can appreciate both sides of the argument, having been in the industry for many years myself. I am under the impression that MWH were pretty badly burnt by some industry dudes, and by some people that they had trusted... as this has happened to myself, and nearly destroyed me, I have to respect Stephan's stand (although I don't like it). The other side of it is this: if my fans were dedicated enough to share my music (and their own covers) amongst themselves, then great! It may not be great for my bank balance, but terrific for my ego. Hey, how are a dozen or so devotees going to have much impact on my income anyhow? They can't make me any poorer than I already am (LOL). Moral of the story: There's music. And then there's the 'music industry', and they seldom meet. Cheers all, Sterling

just wonderin Myke- what on earth do any actions taken or words spoken by anyone involved in MWH have to do with the quality of the music or your listening pleasure thereof?
i really do not understand.
anyhow, i'll bet that if you researched it, you would probably find things that several other artists you enjoy did that you frown upon or find distasteful as well, and your listening selection would really diminish.....
i for one do not like what Metallica did to Napster, but i will still listen to their tunes (but i will not buy any of their cds! <grin>)
just curious :)
