moose seems to be attached to the sounds, and thus could be missing the FEEL of the album, the message conveyed, so i suggested smokin it! i really think if he gave it a coupla more spins, specially if stoned outta his gourd, he could develop a long-lasting appreciation for the album.
my view is that if i have to be under the influence of drugs to appreciate *anything* then something is wrong. i originally played the album on my wife's sony system & the sounds were weak, the lyrics weren't inspirational & overall the quality of the songs was lacking. over the weekend i played it again, this time on the expensive linn hifi in the front room, and my initial remarks remain the same. in my view its a very poor album.
and moose- i will try to catch your show if you get a date set up in l.a. if you could drop me a line (i might forget to check the site- terrible with time) and let me know when you have a date set up, i will totally go if i can.
cool - thanks for the support. we're planning on a local event soonish (probably 'bar sinister') then off to vegas, denver & salt lake city in the spring. }:-) email : moose@alaskahighway.com music sites : http://www.alaskahighway.com address : alaska highway p.o.box 70078 pasadena ca 91117-7078 usa
