You're not the only one. I don't hate the album. It's just that when I first heard RoY, FOT80s1&3, PGTW, even 21 Century (never heard Sideways yet), there were lots of songs which instantly became favourites. This one will need to grow on me. It does sound cheesy and amateurish but it's bleepy (and Erasureish). I like bleepy (and Erasure) but, well, all the songs sound the same. Keep in mind that the band evolves with each album. So this one, we only get Ivan and Stefan on the same gear as RoY. Good idea but a different style of music than we expected. So that's why I'm giving it another chance. BEsides, I woke up with Telepathy in my head this morning! :) I also like Dancing in the Moonlight and the last song (forget the name at the moment) sounds like it comes from PGTW. Aside from that, the graphics inside are amazing! I love them! Ivan's a pretty good digital artist. ----- Original Message ----- From: "moose" <moose@pigpendigital.com> To: "if you want to." <men-without-hats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2003 7:08 PM Subject: [Men Without Hats] new album
i've just got my 'nhbtp' cd in the post... am i the only one who doesn't think its any good? compared to roy its a totally different band - the sounds are cheesy and, quite frankly, completely naff.
i'll be playing the old albums long after this one is put on the shelf to gather dust.
