Videos (Update)

Well, just letting you all know that I'm compiling a list of people interested in my video compilation. Anyone, who has already e-mailed me is already on it. I'm not actually accepting anything from anybody yet since I still believe the project can be added to or improved somewhat. I'm especially waiting for a somebody (anybody) to send me a their copy of "Open Your Eyes". My copy may just be unusable even if no other copy surfaces. I consider this video to be fairly important to the project. Any other videos (Chain Reaction, Freeways, 1972, or a better quality Moonbeam) would just be icing on the cake! The good news is that someone has offered me the use of PGTW on laserdisc. Even though I don't have such a player, I hope that I'll still be able to make use of it somehow. So, it may be sometime yet before things really get rolling. But hopefully not much longer than a couple weeks or so. Hi guys, I'm nearly finished a new compilation of MWH videos. Digital technology has allowed me to improve the quality of the previous collection by a fair amount. (By quite a bit in some cases) Also, I've added almost an hour of additional material. But I'm not done yet. I'm missing the video for Chain Reaction. If any one has a clean copy (doesn't have to be perfect) I will trade my restored compilation for it. Similarly, for "Open Your Eyes". My copy is good but has over 1 second of dropouts. It goes without saying that if anyone has Freeways or 1972 (rumoured to exist) please get in touch with me! I've had a chat with Stefan about the videos and he says that MWH videos will probably never be released on VHS or DVD. Hassles with the labels make it impractical. So I'm doing this to get us through then next 5, 10 (who knows 20) years until a professionally produced video compilation IS practical. Steven, Yay, good work! I have seen hardly any MWH videos or performances, so the prospect of that little lot is mouth-watering indeed. Couple of things, though - are you saying that PGTW was on [the BBC's] Top Of The Pops??? I never knew that MWH even came to the UK to do anything in terms of publicity (apart from the recording of the PGTW album), so to learn that they were on the most mainstream music programme on British TV and that I missed 'em is very disappointing! Second thing - like the man said, what's the position on availability? German Safety Dance

Hey everyone, For those of you who have never heard Bang Bang's german cover of Safety Dance I have uploaded the MP3 to my Yahoo briefcase so you can all download and listen to it. Also in the briefcase are CD covers for my Sounds Familiar release which includes the track listing. I included Nu Wir Zwei as a bonus track on the cd as well and I am still trading with members if you'd like a copy. If anyone knows German I am curious to know whether Bang Bang just translated Safety dance literally into german or whether all the lyrics are their own. I know only a little bit of German, but I can tell it's not a direct translation because where Ivan sings "Safety Dance", that's where this version has "Nur Wir Zwei". "Nur Wir Zweit" loosely translates to "only we two". My ear isn't good enough to pick out the rest of the lyrics, save for an "alles klar?" there toward the beginning...
