I suppose Stefan would consider as "hate" my disdain for the callous "shoot first, ask questions later" approach he chose to employ when approaching his former most ardent fans in response to the 7 or so homespun CD-Rs that were being produced and distributed amongst the members of this list 5-6 years ago. His actions were completely unnecessary and he has still not apologized for being so rude. This is not a question of hate, it's a simple matter of avoidance. I hope everyone likes the new CD. I still don't have it. If I never hear it, I'll never cultivate a desire for outtakes and live renditions 15 years from now. Hi Gang, Teal here,I just got banned from Stefan's cyboard and I was told to post on this one because it was for "Stefan haters" now I for one do not hate him and I never said I did. I think he got upset with me because I ask him to act like an adult and stop calling people names like the xmission list being losers! I think he need some counciling. I have held off my review of the new cd because I was not very fond of it and I did not want to hurt anyones feelings. But I think other then Ivan's vocals and his artwork I don't think the album holds up to the 12 year wait. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. I read what everybody said and would like to sound off myself. When I first listened to the album, I was a bit iffy as to how i felt....but then again, i was iffy when i first heard roy, pgtw, freeways, and all the others..... Now after quite a few listenings, I find quite a few songs great, volume crankers....and others I'm not too into. I'll tell you guys what it is. As I've said from the beginning, MWH SONGS ARE GREAT B/C THEY'RE 80'S SONGS THAT DON'T DEAL DIRECTLY WITH LOVE. There are just so many 80's songs that deal with love, that the theme's impact is just muted over time. I like when the lyrics make no sense....it allows me to make up a story about what I think it means....when it's so obvious....I don't get into them as much. The same sounding analog synth sound does not bother me at all.....I love that part....but I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE GUY WHO SAID IT'S QUITE FRUSTRATING THAT THERE IS NO IVAN SOLO WITH PIANO OR JUST A CHANGE OF PACE ON THE CD....... As far as the duration, well, I think POP was about just as long, if not shorter. -Collin

Got mine today. Now listening to it a second time. Who would've thought 20 years after Safety Dance we'd get a new MWH album (of course when I was 13 I couldn't imagine being this old). Overall I'm thrilled with it. Not as good as my favorite (PGTW, which would make my Top 10 albums of all time), but great to have. My wife, who's not a fan, will probably avoid my office for the next few days as I listen to it over and over. Glad to hear about the remastered CDs as I recently posted that my bootleg of Freeways was acting up strangely. Whoever hears about ordering availability, please post it on the list. Did anyone order the t-shirts? What did they look like? I'm confused by the description on the website for one of them. -Andrew PS Anyone from the Raleigh crowd left on this list?
