is dimentia? As in: "Space-time consists of one time dimension and three spatial dimentia". Or, "the vector space Q(r), r a root of x^5-6x+3, has 5 dimentia". Or, "Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimentia".

Ho ho. But (1) if it pluralized that way it would be "dimensia" not "dimentia" and (2) in fact it comes not from a Greek word in -on but from a Latin word "dimensio" whose plural I think is "dimensiones". -- g
