Thanks! I've felt allergic to getting myself on too many e-mail lists since they can generate large volumes of e-mail, but maybe this one is safe. You won’t find my results on the StackExchange page. It took only 3 hours for them to delete it. Maybe because it relates to a generalization of the original question. Or maybe because they thought darij grinberg's answer proves all the cases (it addresses only my #5). Oh well.
