Oui, je sors de la lecture de cet article, en effet ! Ceci n'améliorera pas la réputation des blockchains -- alors qu'il s'agit d'une extraordinaire révolution ! Here's my 0.00004506 BTC on the topic: https://cp4space.wordpress.com/2016/05/02/is-craig-wright/ Best wishes, Adam P. Goucher
Whatever happened to the reclusive guy who was actually named Satoshi Nakamoto, who had a verifiable record of having written software for crypto including stuff involving ASN.1, DER encoding etc? Has that been discredited, too? He clearly didn't want to be in the spotlight and I haven't heard anything about him recently. On Mon, May 2, 2016 at 12:31 PM, Adam P. I looked at this briefly when it first surfaced on math-fun, and dismissed Wright's claim as being so obviously a clumsy fake that the fact wasn't worth pointing out; presumably quite a few people on the list had the same reaction. What still does bother me has been addressed very rarely in the discussion: what was the point of the forgery in the first place? Is the man simply a publicity- hungry clown? Or was the scam directed at some specific target which might reasonably be expected to be deceived in the short term, for long enough to enable an unexplained swindle to take effect? https://theconversation.com/in-the-nakamoto-fiasco-reddit-proves-a-more-reli... Seems to be as fake as a very fake thing: https://github.com/patio11/wrightverification https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4hflr3/craig_wrights_signature_is_... On the other hand, someone who should really know better says he's convinced (not only by the weird bogus signature antics but also by having talked to the guy): http://gavinandresen.ninja/satoshi ... and apparently this is the response of the Bitcoin team: https://twitter.com/petertoddbtc/status/727078284345917441 Make of all that what you will, but personally I'll be very surprised if it turns out that Wright really is Satoshi. -- g
