[math-fun] Subset-lex: did we miss an order?
Remember those combinatorial listings I used to annoy math-funsters with? Finally I managed to write things down: http://jjj.de/tmp-subset-lex/ If anyone wants to comment, I'd be grateful. Simple, loopfree, and fast algorithms for the generation of various combinatorial objects are given. Great care has been taken to keep things accessible as much as possible. Best, jj
Out now: http://arxiv.org/abs/1405.6503 A thundering "yawn" ensues... At least (I hope!) it's written OK-ish. Best, jj * Joerg Arndt <arndt@jjj.de> [May 04. 2014 06:45]:

Cor --- there's quite a lot of it, Joerg! Anyway, it's now sitting reproachfully on my desktop, waiting till I can extricate myself from a fiendish knight's-move metric paper, which is currently expanding faster than I can write it --- so what else is new ... (Sent to math-fun, as I've no evidence that my posts to you get thru' any more.) WFL On 5/27/14, Joerg Arndt <arndt@jjj.de> wrote:

I could have put much more in (as it is almost a mechanic task to write generators for more specialized combinatorial objects).
Anyway, it's now sitting reproachfully on my desktop,
Note that it's a very specialized thing, of interest mainly to the few dinosaurs that still believe combinatorial generation is of any interest. I must note that the literature research was quite painful, some articles are published in a form that is (IMO) seriously lacking. The programs (if any at all) more often than not make me want to chainsaw a panda.

That really should work, just send a "ping" and I'll reply "it worked" (aka "pong"). CC is my Uni email, which I read infrequently.

And this one works as well. Note: I read this mailbox significantly less often than the jjj.de one, especially in semester breaks. Best, jj On 05/28/2014 12:46 PM, Joerg Arndt wrote:
