Bill, do you really mean Abdus Salam, or do you have him confused with Abdul Qadeer Khan? I'd say Iranians are basically decent people, and would restore their former glory if only they could overthrow their theocracy.  But I don't think they will get any help from the US and EU towards that end.  The glorious people that the Iranians are will insist on retaining their nuclear technology unrestrained.  It will a much harder sell to take that away from a free country than from a nutcase  dictatorship, and we know it.   --  Gene

But at least those debauched Shiites let her study advanced math (and lecture with some of her hair showing) in Tehran.  Compare Pakistan, where they shoot little schoolgirls in the head, or blind them with acid.  The only reason Pakistan has nukes is the apostate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdus_Salam, whose reward was to be driven from his homeland for being the wrong kind of Muslim.  I'm no fan of feminism, but that may be the Achilles heel that brings down radical Islam before its Final Confrontation with the rest of the world.
