Hotbits from Cs137 http://www.fourmilab.ch/hotbits
-- I observe that (a) the hotbits site only generates 100 random bytes per second. (b) it failed two randomness tests according to his own testing: http://www.fourmilab.ch/hotbits/statistical_testing/stattest.html failing a chi-squared test 99.99%, overlapping 5-perm test 99.9%. -- I suspect that the Intel hardware true-random generator will also fail randomness tests but have not verified that. If anybody has a recent-enough Intel processor, they could try the testU01 supercrush tests, see http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~simardr/testu01/tu01.html http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~simardr/testu01/ www.iro.umontreal.ca/~lecuyer/myftp/papers/testu01.pdf I would be interested to hear what happens. But I'm sure digital post-processing would save us for either one of these bit sources.
