[math-fun] NYTimes: Wave-piloting the Pacific w/o GPS

FYI -- http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/20/magazine/the-secrets-of-the-wave-pilots.ht... Apparently, ocean wave patterns can be seen & felt & used for navigating the Pacific. Humans have apparently been doing it for 60,000 years.
