[math-fun] triangular window?

I often use small windows as straightedges to slide around on various displayed graphics, and sometimes wish for slanted edges. Is there a way to hack up a transparent triangle using the alpha channel? E.g., Mavericks offers a crazy variable transparency, variable blur Terminal window. An inconvenient alternative is to rotate screenshots with Mathematica. --rwg
