O.T. but not so much - HELP !
Hi, sorry for this off topic. I've just bought one of the last unsold Quasimidi Sirius. The synth is really great. The problem is that the manual is in german, but I don't know german.... I've tried to look in several Quasimidi's forums all over the web for an English version (I don't think it exists in Italian!!!), but I haven't been able to find one. Could anybody please help me? Anyway this great synth has a lot to do with Kraftwerk! There is a voice named Kraftwer, a few patterns very close to The robots, Home Computer and other KW's songs, and on page 81 of the damned GERMAN manual, in the vocoder section, there is a drawing of a head speaking in a microphone: it looks like Karl Bartos head!!! Ciao, Didi

Sure, can be a problem ;)))

do a search on Quasimidi there are sites (WEB) of fan (especially a big german one) and certainly a mailing list. They should be the best ones who could help you. eventually do the search on sirius I tried not very welcoming the result But there was a big german site however, the best should be an english user (try sos forums http://www.sospubs.co.uk better chance to find one there)

Vocoder Quasimidi Sirius has also a synth-sound named "calculat". Furthermore, adverts for the Quasimidi Quasar sound module mentioned that a "well-known synthesizer band from Duesseldorf" use the Quasar because of its analogue sound and a small close-up photo from a Kling Klang studio with two Quasars installed was also published. BTW, Spanish Kraftwerk-devoted synthpop band El Aviador Dro y Sus Obreros Especializados (or Aviador Dro for short) do also use Quasimidi Sirius. FYI, Aviador Dro did a live version of "The Model", titled "La Modelo", with lyrics sung in Spanish, in 1979. DER AUTOMAT
