Cubase and nerves
Let's presume the concert in Gent takes place as planned. I have the impression that KW these days only play venues they know/played before. If I'm correct the Vooruit (the venue) has been visited at least once before, so that should be allright then. Maybe it's not their fault. I understood that this 'tour' relies heavily on the new Cubase software. It wouldn't be the first time a new Cubase version has bugs in it. And, let's face it, KW can hardly switch to an improvised acoustic set when the machines fail. God, can you imagine the pressure they must be under? The sheer weight of their monumental works, the almost holy reputation of the band... Just a few words of understanding there. Anyone who has battled a temperamental piece of software will know what I'm talking about. Fingers crossed Paul Mennes

oh yes. i remember times when these guys from berlin (their name just escapes me) only had to start their tape machine behind the stage to run the show. they could have placed drinks machines on the stage instead of the moogs. the audience was too stoned to realize it anyway. those were the romantic days ... sigh. but hooray, today there's cubase! which is a completely different thing on stage! just no comparison! jan -- feel free to visit http://www.jan-reetze.de

Hmm... ( afair, there were very few minor Cubase bugs in the pass, mainly due to OS updates...). This is a doubtful hypothesis. afaik Cubase SX isn't a beta-version. Anyway, even in the case of a major bug, that "old" Cubase VST ( KW - probably - used it to write recent tracks like "expo2000"...) could be fully operational! About possible equipment problem: maybe, they haven't received yet the Minimoog Voyager they ordered to? :-)) - and as everybody knows, they absolutely need it to play the "Autobahn" sequence ;-)) - kidding - Greetings, _ /o o\ Filtre4Pole \ ~ / I I - -
I am currently working with Cubase SX and imho this is by far the most stable version of cubase. I do not exactly know what Steinberg did but it is indeed a masterpiece concerning performance. I am quite shure that KW has the right hardware in their PC-machines - so I don´t think Cubase is the problem.
