However, all I stand to lose is the time it will take to claim back the 68Euros I paid for the tickets. Cite de la musique have stuck their necks out far enough (and so too have Kraftwerk) to get it chopped off. <

fyi : kw itself have NOT confirmed or denied ANYTHIN' about this concerts in sept. !!! so we simply CAN'T blame them @ this point in time for ANYTHIN'_!!! all we can do is blame the organizers of those concerts , if they won't take place @ all or as scheduled !!! anyway ... i surely WON'T buy ANY tickets for ANY of the 3 concerts as long as i haven't read or received a confirmation of those dates , which i will get in the not so far future !!! *slyest_grin* ;-))) i do have my very good & highly reliable sources in such cases !!! *jus'_another_sly_grin* ;-)

hey , wait a sec. !!! i've NEVER said nor even implied that the concerts are a hoax , mate !!! :-o i'm jus' sceptical about it ... as long as i DON'T get any further confirmation from some reliable sources about it !!! that's all !!! however ... i too hope ( & pray ;-) that @ least 1 or 2 concerts go ahead as planned & i would currently prefer to see them around midnight @ their last scheduled date in sept. in paris ... if anybody of u wants to meet me there then !!! *BWG* ;-)))

it would lower my estimation of them as people. Perhaps that sounds a little strong but we are not talking about an ensemble who tour regularly where disappointments often occur due to ill health or 'over-exertion' on the tour circuit (Noel Gallagher of Oasis a good example). <

well ... kw have disappointed their fans MANY_TIMES before with their "plans" to release somethin' or to tour somewhere , so i wouldn't be too surprised to be disappointed again then !!! *sigh* :-o

We are talking about a group who must surely realise, that to announce a concert (which someone has at Cite de la musique) and then to retract is actually quite cruel given the long wait and sheer anticipation by the fans. <

*LOL* ;-))) sorry , but i highly doubt that kw give a faq about what we fans think of their plans , mate !!! :-/ ... & to tell u the truth , i think that kw are already VERY_"CRUEL" to their fans , when it comes to release @ least "somethin'" new , so what do u expect from them , eh !? :-o IF they would play some more concerts , we can be happy , but IF_NOT ... then we really SHOULDN'T be to grumpy , as i'm persoanlly MUCH_MORE interested in a new kw release ( even ONE new , but quite good track would do it for me then !!! ;-) than in ANY of their forthcomin' concerts ... no matter , where they'll play ... as long as it isn't in my howmetown bremen in northern germany again ( like already some times before ;-) !!! *G+* ;-)

Together with the pertinent points Wolgang Flur has made about their reluctance to collaborate and 'cliquey' behaviour over the years - should this concert turn out to be bullsheeze, my estimation of them would go right down. <

honestly , my estimation of them ISN'T on the highest level anymore ... already for some time & for some VERY_PERSONAL reasons !!! *sigh* :-o

As for the prodigy single - it may be crap but you dismiss them all too easily considering their global domination of the dance music arena with the Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land albums. <

well ... if this lame single is anythin' to go by in regards to their new album , then i already know NOW that i'll be disappointed by it THEN , sorry !!! :-/

Should we all dismiss KW after their Jingle, no, I think they have earned just enough credits to hold our attention a bit longer. It's a good job they made some timeless tunes. <

sure ... & i even like their jingles & the "expo 2000" single & some of the (re)mixes too !!! ;-)

But having spent an evening in the company of The Prodigy at Brixton Academy - opening with a one-hour breakdance session with some of the dirtiest cut and paste scratch licks followed by a very loud and gloriously-received 'Smack my bitch up', it is their live performance that has shaken the music world. <

"HAS shaken the music world" is the perfect description in this case , imho , as i highly doubt that they can win some new fans with anythin' that's as lame as their new single !!! :-o sorry again , mate !!! :-/

You're a bit sensitive Oh Jay - and a bit precious about Kraftwerk. All this talk of DVD's double CD's limited edition videos from subscribers is getting to your hid mon. You're a punter just like the rest of us. <

fyi : i was the one , who ( STILL_!!! ;-) supposed that ALL 3 concerts will mainly take place to record & then compile a live-dvd of kw material !!! *sly_grin* ;-) well ... u can believe me , when i say that i have my reasons for it !!! *wink* ;-)

If people **** you around and cancel concerts for no good reason, then treat them like they treat you. Erase them. <

kw's music will ALWAYS stay in my mind ... no matter , what they'll do or don't do ... or for what reason or not !!!

I would not be contributing to this list if KW had already pulled the plug on a concert I had paid tickets for and they had offered no good reason. <

PLEASE_REMEMBER_: kw themselves HAVEN'T confirmed nor denied ANY of those new concerts in sept. in paris in public , like @ their website or @ their record company's website or @ ANY other "official" kw site or list !!! anyway ... as long as i DON'T get a confirmation of a certain very reliable source , i still WON'T buy ANY tickets or plan anythin' concernin' this dates in late sept. 2002 !!! :-o
