Kraftwerk original version of the song appears in the film Breakin' (1984), but not on the soundtrack itself, neither on the closing credits, to request of Kraftwerk themselves.
AFAIR, Kraftwerk WAS mentioned in the film credits. When I've first seen that film in a movie theatre (I was only 18!) I was so in shock at that scene and the music played on that boombox that I did something I had never done before: stay back and read the closing credits. Sure enough, Kraftwerk TdF's song appeared in the middle of a long list of songs. I was so happy that I wanted to yell. I knew it was them. I remember playing records at home and cranking up annoyingly loud Blue Monday, TdF and I Feel Love back to back. Man, I'm old! For the record, back in my teen days, I had a hell of a time trying to put a name to that one song that I once heard either on the radio or on TV jingle. Cars by Gary Numan and Parsons' Hyper-Gamma Spaces were amongst them. Those were the days! E
