RE: [Kraftwerk] Re: SV: Activerecord / Xmission
Don't forget new people can't subscribe to the Xmission list, so it will become more and more private. :-( I know we all love this list for historical reason, but this list is no longer managed. I think it's time for us to switch to a new list, the ActiveRecord one, and forget this one. If we don't move all together, new people will never be able to read messages from the old members, and that's a shame. :( M2C Christophe.

I find one list quite enough to keep me informed about KW. If I have to subscribe to two or more I'd rather not bother with any. So I'm sticking with this one. I've had no problems with it and can't see any reason to change. So Jan, looks like I'm not going to read any more of your postings, sorry to hear that.

That's not really true - it's just a rumor started by Oh Jay to hurt the list. If you look at the related website, you'll see that it's robomoderated and that the owner only becomes involved when a problem is brought to his attention. Closing the list to new members was an extreme measure forced by Oh Jay for his own purposes. It could happen to any list, and I really don't know what can be done about it. I do agree that new members should be admitted by the moderator, but how can he possible identify every new throwaway account used by someone who wants to destroy the list? -- /* Soleil */
