-------- The more I see of that stage set up the more I like it: minimalist, uncluttered with techie equipment, and with beautiful rich coloured graphics. Even if they sounded exactly like they did in 1997 I could be tempted to go see a performce, just for the new visuals. This email may contain confidential material. I'd agree. It's much more in line with what they have always envisioned, I think. To be honest, I thought that by 1997 that set-up, although no doubt technically very advanced (I'm no techie), didn't *look* futuristic. I'm waiting to see when they'll do Pocket Calculator on PDA or palmtops! That's the only song for me that has lost something with using the laptops now. On that note, listening to some of their shows from past years, has anyone on this list ever been lucky enough to play one of the handhelds handed out during the 91 Mix tour, or been close enough to see it in action? I'm curious to what exactly they did. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marston, Richard <Richard.Marston@penguin.co.uk> To: <kraftwerk@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2003 3:21 PM Subject: [Kraftwerk] RE: Kraftwerk digest, Vol 1 #454 - 8 msgs

This is most "entertaining" (the choir of virgins will rise!) Voilà qui ve être intéressant (j'entends d'ici le choeur des vierges !)
Are you recording new material?
"Yes. All the time".
So, when might we ...?
"Well, it's planned for this year."
An album?
(Nods)
Can you give a sense of what it's sounding like?
"We are working on it."
Anything?
"Very forward."

I played (for a while) Hutter's minikeyboard at Zaragoza (Spain) concert. It indeed plays a melody, I realized that because of I haven't got any idea about how to play a keyboard/synthesizer or similar, and when I played the minikeyboard it sounded really terrible. ;-) DER AUTOMAT
