I remember reading in the Pascal Bussy Book, that Ralf (and Maxime Schmitt) already suggested in the early 1980s to record a record solely dedicated to Tour de France, but that the other members objected. Anyway, maybe some of these compositions date back to this period, or maybe not. Also it looks like they have reacquainted themselves with old collaborators such as Maxime Schmitt (who co-wrote the lyrics on the new release) and Emil Schult, who was present at some of their latest concerts.
