Anyone who has more info about this?
"From 1999-2000 Florian Schneider was professor for sounddesign and performance at Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung (State School of Design) in Karlsruhe."
Now we know why Kraftwerk haven't been releasing any new music, they have been lecturing instead! I assume Florian was given the status of professor on the basis of him being a member of Kraftwerk?? I had no idea of this and I am sure no-one else did either...... fyi : this "deal" actually goes back to the connections that were already made in 1997 as kw played in the zkm in karlsruhe !!! ;-)
I had no idea of this and I am sure no-one else did either......
i'm sorry to disappoint u , dear rob , but that's actually "ol' news" & it was already mentioned here months or even years ago !!! ;-) where were u @ that point in kw history anyway ??? *G+* ;-) btw : isn't it also listed already "somewhere" in the kw faq , dear kevin ??? *jus'_curious* ;-) however ... many greetinx , oh jay ;-) *~\^/~*

No. http://web.bham.ac.uk/busbykg/contact.html : "2. Remember that the purpose of an "FAQ list" is to answer Frequently Asked Questions. It is not intended to list every single piece of trivia." ;-P
hmmm ... that's indeed very interestin' , didi !!! ;-)
fyi : as a matter of fact , dieter ( doepfer ) & florian are good friends & are both still very fascinated by the late oscar sala's mixturetrautonium , so it's VERY LIKELY that florian was involved in the makin' of this new musical instrument by doepfer !!! ;-)
IIRC, for some years, the Doepfer catalogues have included Mixturtrautonium modules? Or perhaps they have just been promising them for some time. However, Sonicstate's news of a "Troutonium" is typically fishy. It was only recently that they removed the article about 'An Introduction to Kraftwerk' being the new album. And yeah, that CD _is_ covered in the FAQ! ;-) Cheers Kevin
