Those pictures that were taken were photographed by a man who thinks its cool to go about following Ralf and Florian into restaurants in Dusseldorf. A gross intrusion of privacy. Arthur Brehm has recently been on the newsgroup telling us that KW are in KlingKlang and that the album is finished.. He informed us about that this time last year too. Its a case of taking fandom too far, I am not interested in what kind of car Florian drives, or what their houses look like. The long-suffering Kraftwerk fan hears: Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah THE ALBUM IS FINISHED blah blah blah blah blah :) In all fairness, all Brehm has said this time around is that Kraftwerk is "working". He hasn't been mouthing off about a new album since last year. In fact, this time he sounds like he doubts one exists. (http://groups.google.com/groups?q=author:akbrehm%40web.de&hl=en&ie=ISO-8859 -1&oe=ISO-8859-1&selm=a68480%2469u%241%40news.online.de&rnum=1) As for his stalking tendencies, that's for psychologists to comment on. :) -Eric
I think a Kraftwerk fan really thinks "Oh, more rumours" and consigns them to the dustbin until someone can actually go and buy the album from the shop. It's only ben 16 years since they last released an album of newish material. Isn't it? music Full Stop more like. Right, off to watch TV. And wonder why I can't buy Mr. Bungle T-Shirts anywhere on line. M ----- Original Message ----- Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah THE ALBUM IS FINISHED blah blah blah blah blah
I couldn´t believe it! The "godfather" himself about two metres away from me... It was the most impressive moment for years! I was able to talk to him but unfortunately not as much as I would have liked to.... Here are the pics: http://www.schnooke.net/html/florian.html He was at the booth of "doepfer musikelektronik" and later on at "propellerheads" to test some software-synths. If you are interested in a short report, let me know. Cheers! Dirk

I am not shure whether he ckecked out the moog but I don´t think so. (Too few knobs maybe *ggg*) He was about to go to the waldorf booth but there was a german TV sender (swf) and after he saw the cameras he went away. -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: kraftwerk-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:kraftwerk-admin@mailman.xmission.com]Im Auftrag von The Claycomb's Gesendet: Sonntag, 17. He didn't seem too shy of YOUR camera! Those are great pictures; Florian is looking good, and he's also looking like he's enjoying himself at the show. Hopefully he was at the show as more than a "hobbyist". I've used the Propellerhead software quite a bit (Rebirth, Reason); I'd be interested in what the Man-Machine could do with those tools! By the way, we get Florian sightings relatively often. He gets around town. Ralf sightings are much more rare, for whatever reason! -Eric
Hi again. I am currently writing my short "report" about the "sighting". Here are the instruments and electronics Florian played around with in Frankfurt: www.doepfer.de Here you can see the "joystick" which impressed him very much and the "Blue Series" - Controller Rack. I would suppose you also listen to the demo-sounds (!) They all sound very interesting and "kraftish". Cheers, Dirk

I just wanted to say it was not a "Doepfer" booth in Frankfurt, but a common booth organised by several small manufacturers of analog equipment, among them Doepfer. The blue synth Florian is playing with on the first three pictures is a Technosaurus Selector from Switzerland, which is much more expensive than the Doepfer A 100 system.
You´re right. Take a look at www.superbooth.com and there you have all of the manufacturers that were there. It was not my intention to only mention Doepfer... Sorry if I´ve forgotten the other (also very interesting!) companies. Again - see the a.m. web adress.
