I've been looking for a good Japanese recordstore on the net for ages. Is this Vinyl 1, Harajuku, Tokyo on the net? Somebody mentioned autechre here. Any Ae fans here? I love them. Kind greetings Paul

I love Autechre, though I'm more into Amber and Tri Repetae than their more recent output. Confield especially is too sterile for me, though I can respect the uniqueness and amazing barrage of sounds. I just find it joyless. Amber I think is one of the more underrated electronic albums of the 90's. Everyone calls Tri a classic, but I think Amber's just as good, and just as much of a step forward for Ae. I think they've got a new EP coming out in a couple months, it'll be interesting to see if they start staking out a different direction or they continue with the more academic click and glitch barrage. -Eric
i heard, that komputer will bring out an album... can anyone confirm this? they are really kraftwerkish... i love their tunes. "spacewalk" is my favourite tune... -------------------------------------- www.arthur-brehm.de www.computerliebe81.de www.network81.com www.klanghof.de www.duesselklang.de www.klingklangwerk.tk www.schaufensterpuppen.tk www.organisation.tk

Apparently they'll do. This is what I sent a month ago to this very list:
From http://www.releasemagazine.net/news.htm: Time to buy a new Komputer in July? A new album from the British electro-poppers Komputer is on its way. It is called "Market Led" and will be preceded by a single sometime in July. http://www.mute.com/mute/komputer/komputer.htm

You're right. On August 5th 2002 they'll release "Gantz Graff" Warp WAP256 CD / vinyl / CD/DVD double pack. The DVD features the stunning new Gantz Graff video directed by Alex Rutterford, a 2002 re-edit of Chris Cunningham's Second Bad Vilbel and Bass Cadet directed by J.S. Hunter. http://www.warprecords.com/ DER AUTOMAT

I am, but only of half their work - the earlier half. I love Amber, TR++, Incunabula and the Basscadet single, but I find their more industrial stuff like EP7 annoying. -- /* Soleil */
