Re: [Kraftwerk] Jarre-Kraftwerk collaboration

Did you know? The song 'Je me souviens' from the new Metamorphoses album was originally to be recorded together with Kraftwerk. Unfortunately the schedules of Jean Michel Jarre and Kraftwerk didn't match so the collaboration didn't go ahead.
Jean Michel has worked with plenty of artists for his projects in the past. I'm sure [if this is a fact] that he would of tweaked his schedule around in order to fit Kraftwerk's. Unfortunately for Jean Michel and the rest of the world, he happened to ask for KW's *help* around a time when they were the busiest in decades with Wolfgang's lawsuit, Expo's music and controversy, etc... It was a fact that JMJ invited KW to create voices for Je me souviens However, Jarre was hard pressed for time because he had his Egypt gig to perform on December 31 1999 and had to have the song ready until then, since it played an important role in the concert. And as the Millennium moment couldnt be tweaked around KWs schedule, Jarre got Laurie Anderson in stead. If KW wanted to accept, they would have to record in the summer of 1999 and I dont know what kind of schedule they had then, but it doesnt seem like they are interested in collaborations even of they do have time.
